So, You Like Horror? #44- Friday the 13th
Friday Oct 13, 2023
Friday Oct 13, 2023
Welcome back, folks. This week, I'm joined by Echo Latrice as we sit and talk about the Friday the 13th franchise on this very superstitious day.
Friday the 13th is a horror franchise that comprises twelve films, a television series, novels, comic books, and video games. The franchise mainly focuses on Jason Voorhees, who was thought to have drowned as a boy at Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the camp staff. Decades later, the lake is rumored to be "cursed" and is the setting for a series of murders. Jason is featured in all of the films, as either the killer or the motivation for the killings.

Friday Aug 18, 2023
Welcome back, friends and family. I sit with my good friend Shoky this week on the podcast and we discuss the 2010 horror classic, Rubber. Rubber is a unique and surreal film directed by Quentin Dupieux. It's a self-aware horror-comedy that follows the story of a sentient and telekinetic tire named Robert who goes on a killing spree in a small desert town. The film blends absurdity, meta-commentary, and a touch of horror in an unconventional way, creating an experience that challenges traditional storytelling conventions. We share our Good, Bad, and Ugly and scores on a 1-10 scale.
